REFERRAL PROCESS

According to New Jersey laws, public school districts must provide educational services for all students between the ages of 3 and 21 who have been identified as having physical, sensory, emotional, communication, cognitive or social handicaps. This service is available to all Monmouth Beach residents as well as any children of homeless or migrant worker families. If you suspect that your child may have a physical, emotional or cognitive difficulty that may interfere with his/her ability to learn, please contact:

Amanda L. Mergner

Supervisor of Special Services

If your child is a current student and you have concerns about your child and their needs, the first point of contact would be your child's teacher. They would then assist in executing the necessary steps and get you in touch with the Child Study Team, where appropriate.
